Ms. Aintzane Esturo holds a BSc in Biology (Spain), a MSc in Food Technology (United Kingdom) and the PMP certification given by the Project Management Institute (USA). She has more than 28 years of expertise in the food industry and supply chain. She is since 2014 Technical Manager and Head of Communication at SGF International (Germany), industrial association that certifies fruit juice authenticity and quality in more than 60 countries.

Previously she was the Secretary General of the European Quality Control System EQCS, a voluntary control system for bottled fruit juices based in Belgium. In 2000 she was involved in the creation of the Spanish Fruit Juice Control association: AEAZN and she was directly involved as Technical Secretary of the organization from the foundation until 2007. She combined these positions with the project management at the research institute AZTI-Tecnalia (Spain) coordinating international research projects and communicating results in various national and international. Ms. Esturo worked for Pespico, as Quality Manager at the snack plant in Spain.

She is also an independent expert for the European Commission and a mentor at the EIT Food project. She has a large experience participating as speaker and moderator at international conferences dealing with food safety, authenticity and sustainability.
